The early manifestations of hand cancer are mostly erythematous skin lesions, accompanied by scaly scaling or scab formation. It is difficult to distinguish the histological type by visual observation alone, and it is easily confused with benign hand cancer diseases such as psoriasis and eczema. Pathological examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis.

This is very similar to the erythematous papules of squamous cell carcinoma in situ with clear boundaries and slightly higher than the skin surface, except that the latter''s scales and scab are more obvious, and the lesions are more substantial.
