What are the early symptoms of bladder cancer?

About 90% of patients with bladder cancer initially have hematuria, which is usually painless, intermittent, gross hematuria, and sometimes microscopic hematuria. Hematuria may only occur once or last for 1 day to several days and can be relieved or stopped by itself. Sometimes the coincidence of the patient with the hematuria after taking the medicine often gives the patient the illusion of ‘healing’. Some patients may have hematuria again after a certain time interval. The staining of hematuria ranges from light red to dark brown, and is often dark red. Sometimes when gross hematuria occurs, the tumor is already large or has advanced stage; sometimes an exceedingly small tumor has large amounts of hematuria. Some patients found tumors in the bladder by B-ultrasound during physical examination. 10 percent of patients with bladder cancer may first have symptoms of bladder irritation, manifested as frequent urination, urgency, pain, and dysuria, while the patients have no obvious gross hematuria. This is mostly caused by tumor necrosis, ulcers, large or large numbers of tumors in the bladder, or bladder tumors that diffusely infiltrate the bladder wall, reducing bladder capacity or concurrent infection. Tumors in the triangle of the bladder and the neck of the bladder can obstruct the bladder outlet and cause dysuria.
