Drinking alcohol is common because of socializing at work, but I have diabetes. Can people with diabetes drink alcohol?

Because the alcohol contained in the wine does not contain other nutrients and only supplies heat, it produces about 7 kilocalories (294 joules) per gram of alcohol. Long-term drinking is not good for the liver, and it is easy to cause the rise of serum triglycerides. A few patients taking sulfonylurea hypoglycemic drugs are prone to panic, shortness of breath, red cheeks and other reactions after drinking. Note that fasting drinking of insulin is likely to cause hypoglycemia, so it is better not to drink for the safety of the patient.
