I packed up my house yesterday. See how many sugar canes last winter, can you still eat in spring?

Sugarcane harvested in the first year may be moldy due to fungal contamination in spring. There are many kinds of fungi that can contaminate sugar cane. Among them, the fungus known as Rhodosporium can produce 3-nitropropionic acid, and poisoning will occur when moldy sugar cane contaminated with this fungus is eaten. People with mild vomiting, dizziness, and visual impairment, with severe tetany twitching limbs, hands claws, and finally coma or even death (mostly children). Although some people survived the rescue and died, they will leave sequelae and cause life-long disabilities. Therefore, the folk proverb that "the Qingming cane poisoned the snake" is not alarmist.
