I don't like to drink unsweetened soy milk. Can I add sugar directly?

Some people say that adding white sugar to soy milk will cause "sugar to be converted into acid in the body, which will combine with calcium or protein in the body, affecting the absorption of calcium and protein." This statement is outrageous. The sugar is converted into acid after absorption, and there is no chance to meet the calcium and protein in the digestive tract. Moreover, the human body will consume carbohydrates, which will eventually be broken down into sugar in the body. If the organic acid derived from sugar can be so utterly destructive, then the rice, steamed bread, bread and even vegetables will eventually have the same effect.
