Sugar food starch is hydrolyzed by amylase to produce dextrin and polysaccharide, and then converted to monosaccharide by the action of oligosaccharide enzyme. It is mainly absorbed in the jejunum, and only a small amount enters the ileum for absorption. Therefore, when 3/4 of the small intestine is removed, the carbohydrate absorption rate can still maintain normal levels.
