When we take medicine, we always pay attention to whether this medicine is taken before meals or after meals, so why can't some medicines be taken on an empty stomach?

You can't take medicines on an empty stomach because some medicines, like antibiotics, can stimulate the inside of the intestine and disrupt the stomach's acid-base balance, causing excessive stomach acid and causing stomach ulcers. In addition, in an acidic environment, antibiotics are absorbed faster, so it is less effective.
