Gout is a metabolic disorder caused by high purine food. The concentration of uric acid in the body increases, and urate deposits in the joints and nearby tissues, causing local swelling, pain, and deformation. Purines basically come from foods, and high purine foods are extremely acidic foods, such as seafood, animal offal, thick broth and so on. Therefore, to improve gout or to adjust the diet structure, seafood should not be eaten in excess.
