How much protein do diabetic patients eat every day?

Female  41 years old 2018-07-01
I used to eat an egg every day, but since I became diabetic, I seldom eat it. I’m afraid it’s not good to eat too much. How much protein is the most suitable for daily intake?

If you have diabetes, you must limit some foods containing protein. Diabetes is easy to merge with diabetic nephropathy, and excessive intake of protein will increase the burden on the kidneys. Therefore, the protein intake of diabetic patients should be appropriate. The American Diabetes Association recommends that the daily protein intake of diabetic patients should be limited to 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight.
