Can the elderly eat more soy products

Male  62 years old 2018-07-01
Now that my mother’s diet is taken care of by me, I want to make various nutritious foods for her. For older people, can I eat more soy products?

The elderly are not suitable for eating soy products. The metabolic changes in the plant protein that people eat into the body eventually become most nitrogen-containing waste that is excreted by the kidneys. In old age, the kidneys' ability to excrete waste declines. Once the nitrogen-containing waste in the human body increases, it will increase the burden on the kidneys, resulting in further decline in kidney function, which is very detrimental to the health of the elderly.
