Can pumpkin prevent memory loss?

Female  68 years old 2018-06-30
My dad is old, and his memory is obviously not as good as before. The TV lecture said that eating more pumpkins can treat memory loss. Is this true?

Pumpkin does have the effect of treating memory loss. Pumpkin is an excellent source of β-carotene. Pumpkin contains more vitamin A than green vegetables and is rich in vitamin C, zinc, potassium and cellulose. Chinese medicine believes that pumpkin flavor is sweet and calm, and it has the function of clearing and refreshing the anise toad, and can treat dizziness, upset, thirst and other symptoms of Yin deficiency and fire. Therefore, people with neurasthenia and memory loss should cook pumpkin for food once a day. The course of treatment is not limited and has a good therapeutic effect.
