It reduces the consumption of meat and poultry, uses olive oil for cooking, and drinks red wine in moderation. Studies have shown that regular consumption of the Mediterranean diet reduces the risk of Alzheimer's disease by 40%. Finland and Sweden, which love fish, have the lowest proportion of people with dementia.
