Does eating fast increase the risk of illness?

I have been eating fast and gobbled up, and my mother always said that I would endanger my health if I was not so good. Does eating too fast really increase the risk of illness?

Eating too fast does increase the risk of illness. One study showed that eating indiscriminately would not only make you fat, but also increase the risk of diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and stroke. Eating fast will damage the body's normal metabolic function, metabolic syndrome, and then lead to cardiovascular disease. Fast eating is related to weight gain, high blood sugar, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, and increased waist circumference.
