The daily intake of monosodium glutamate should not exceed 6 mg per person. Excessive intake will increase the glutamate content in the blood and limit the use of necessary calcium and magnesium, which can cause short-term headaches, nausea and other symptoms. The reproductive system can also cause adverse effects.
