I made an appointment for PET/CT examination tomorrow. Are there any special requirements during the process?

The most basic requirement in the process of PET/CT examination: maintain the examination position to ensure that the body cannot move obviously. When undergoing a whole body or heart examination, some patients need to raise their hands to their heads. Pregnant women, emotional instability or acute persistent spasms should not do PET. Remove metal objects and gold and silver jewelry from the body before inspection. Some cases require drinking water (as directed by your doctor). During the examination, you need to breathe calmly, and some patients need to hold your breath for a few seconds (as directed by your doctor). After the inspection, please wait for a while, and the doctor in charge will approve the quality of the inspection image before leaving the PET center.
