Both coconut and chocolate contain stearic acid. This saturated fat increases your healthy HDL cholesterol. Therefore, saturated fat is not as bad as we thought before. Through experimental research, it is found that there are many kinds of saturated fats, and they will also have various reactions after being ingested by the human body. As a saturated fat, stearic acid is present in cocoa, dairy products, meat, poultry, palm oil, and coconut oil. This saturated fat does not increase harmful LDL cholesterol, but instead increases beneficial HDL cholesterol levels.
