    Excessive intake of vitamins is likely to cause kidney stones. The recommended daily intake for adults is 100 mg, and the maximum tolerable intake is 1000 mg. Vitamin C supplementation, as long as the daily intake is within 1000 mg, kidney stones will not occur.
