What are the benefits of sticking to being a vegetarian

Female  51 years old 2018-06-26
I have symptoms of high blood pressure and high blood fat. The doctor advised me to stick to a vegetarian diet in the future. What are the benefits of eating vegetarian food?

Eating vegetarian food is more beneficial to health. Adhering to a vegetarian diet can lower blood pressure by up to 7 mm Hg, which is equivalent to losing 11 pounds (about 10 pounds) of body weight. When eating out, it is best to eat more plant-based foods and eat less meat. The meat-to-vegetarian ratio should be controlled at 2:8 and eat 5 servings of vegetables per day.
