What about steamed crabs with froth?

Female  26 years old 2018-06-25
This is the first time that my family bought crabs. I steamed them directly and opened it and found some foam. Why is this?

The steamed crab foam is mainly a white substance that some water-soluble protein substances flow out and adhere to the surface of the crab body. After steaming, it is concentrated and condensed by condensation. This layer of foam is not harmful to the body. But not all crabs have this phenomenon when they are steamed. Generally, live crabs that are regularly farmed are not easy to appear.
