I'm eating vitamin C, and the instructions say that you can't eat it with shrimp. Why can't you eat shrimp with vitamin C?

Generally, shrimp should not be eaten within 2 hours before and after taking vitamin C, because the copper in shrimp will chlorinate vitamin C, making it lose its efficacy. The pentavalent arsenic in shrimp easily reacts with vitamin C, and it becomes toxic "trivalent arsenic" from time to time.
