The alcohol in the wine is called ethanol. After entering the human body, it is absorbed into the bloodstream through the gastrointestinal tract and then transferred to the liver for decomposition. Eventually, it is decomposed into harmless carbon dioxide and water and discharged out of the body. However, when ethanol has just begun to decompose in the liver, it will first change the taste of acetaldehyde, and acetaldehyde is a highly toxic substance that has a stimulating effect on mucous membranes and skin and will bring anesthesia to the human body. If you just feel sleepy, it means that the harm of acetaldehyde is not serious. If excessive alcohol intake leads to excessive accumulation of acetaldehyde, it will cause headaches and vomiting.
