Recently, the US Food and Drug Administration reminded pregnant women and women who plan to become pregnant to avoid eating sharks, mackerels, swordfish and square head fish, because the mercury content of these four kinds of fish may affect the growth and development of the fetal brain. It is worth noting that tuna was not included in the fasting range of pregnant women because of its low mercury content. However, some people responsible for formulating mercury regulations believe that it is not good for women to eat a lot of canned tuna during pregnancy. Some regions have restricted the amount of tuna consumed by pregnant women per week to not exceed 198 grams.
