As a saturated fat, stearic acid is found in cocoa, dairy products, meat, poultry, palm oil, and coconut oil. This saturated fat does not increase harmful cholesterol, but instead increases beneficial cholesterol levels. The coconut and chocolate you love contain stearic acid. This saturated fat will increase your healthy HDL cholesterol.
