People with low blood pressure should also eat less salt. Because hypertension is just one of the diseases caused by a salty diet. Eating too much salt will lead to excessive sodium intake, and it may also cause obesity, diabetes and heart disease in the elderly. Therefore, even for people with normal blood pressure, the daily sodium intake should be controlled at 1500 mg.
