When I was doing a physical examination, the doctor suggested that I should control calories. I don’t usually eat too much. What are the benefits of controlling calories?

Controlling calorie intake can reduce the risk factors for Alzheimer's disease, such as sleep apnea syndrome, hypertension and diabetes. However, this is not a recommendation to reduce calories to a very low level, which requires gradual progress, and it is not recommended that calorie intake be less than 1200 kcal/day for a long time, especially for people with thin bodies to control calories moderately, otherwise the harm will be greater than the benefits.
