Can tofu and bamboo shoots be eaten together?

Male  23 years old 2018-06-19
Today, I went out to eat a buffet at a mixed meal. When my classmates saw the tofu and bamboo shoots I took, they told me not to eat them. They said they could not eat them at the same time. Is this true?

This is because tofu contains calcium sulfate, and bamboo shoots contain oxalic acid, which can produce calcium oxalate when the two foods meet together. This white precipitate not only affects the body's absorption of calcium, but also easily leads to calculi.
