Can the persimmon peel be eaten?

Female  3 years old 2018-06-18
Yesterday the child didn't peel the persimmon. I used to peel off the skin before giving it to him. Isn't the child eating the persimmon?

The persimmon skin cannot be eaten. The mature persimmon skin contains a large amount of tannic acid. This substance will feel astringent when eaten. Under the action of stomach acid, tannic acid will chemically interact with the protein in the food to produce a precipitate, which is persimmon stone. This substance can easily cause upper abdominal discomfort, fullness, and loss of appetite. Therefore, do not eat unpeeled persimmons or fastings.
