People who have too much stomach acid are not suitable for eating chili. Capsaicin can cause increased gastric acid secretion, and more gastric acid can cause gallbladder contraction, resulting in spasm of the sphincter of the biliary tract, causing difficulty in bile excretion, thereby inducing cholecystitis, biliary colic, and pancreatitis .
