Will prolonged fruit soaking cause secondary pollution?

Male  43 years old 2018-06-17
My mother will soak in the water for a long time every time I wash the fruit. I heard that prolonged soaking of the fruit will cause secondary pollution. Is it true?

There are sometimes a small amount of pesticide residues on the surface of fruits and vegetables, and the main component of pesticide residues is organic phosphorus, which is insoluble in water and soaking does not work. Prolonged soaking may even cause "secondary pollution". For example, when cleaning pediculated fruits and vegetables, removing the pedicles and soaking will cause pesticides to enter the fruits.
