People with gout are not recommended to drink broth because the purine is too high. Purine is a water-soluble substance, and it is relatively high in meat, seafood and other foods. It is easily dissolved in soup when stewed. Therefore, gout patients should avoid drinking broth, fish soup and seafood soup, and can choose vegetable soup or egg flower soup without meat.
