My wife makes me buns, pickles, and porridge every morning. Is this kind of breakfast nutritious?

    The nutrition of this kind of breakfast is very simple. Steamed buns, pickles and rice porridge are the Chinese breakfast combination. This combination contains almost only carbohydrates. The glycemic index of steamed bread and porridge is very high. After eating, the food is quickly digested and absorbed, raising postprandial blood sugar, and hypoglycemia may occur before the next meal, resulting in blood sugar fluctuations. Only the staple food breakfast is very low in nutrition, lacking protein and vitamins, and high in salt.
