Can regular eating cucumber lower blood pressure?

Male  58 years old 2018-06-13
My mother's blood pressure was high again during this time. After going back for a review today, the doctor suggested that she eat more vegetables. She likes to eat cucumbers. I wonder if she can lower her blood pressure?

Cucumber is a particularly light food and can be cooked in soup or fried. The sterols in cucumber are good for lowering cholesterol; cucumber is also rich in nutrients such as dietary fiber, potassium, and magnesium, which can help regulate blood pressure levels and prevent high blood pressure.
