Will carrots lose moisture when placed indoors?

I went to the vegetable market and bought a lot of carrots, so that I can eat them for a long time. I wonder if the carrots will lose moisture if they are left indoors.

Studies have shown that compared with cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes, carrots lose the most water after being exposed to air for 3 days, and the loss of water will take away the precious carotene.
