If there is calcium deficiency after delivery, it must be supplemented in time. The blood calcium concentration of lactating women is regulated by their own homeostasis mechanism and has nothing to do with diet. The mother's blood calcium level does not reflect the total amount of calcium in the body, because the calcium in the bones can be mobilized into the blood when necessary. Unless the calcium storage in the body is too low, the calcium mobilization of the mother's skeletal system can quickly return to normal after breastfeeding is stopped. However, because young women need calcium for their own growth and development, it is difficult to quickly restore the mineral density in their bones after breastfeeding is stopped.
