Can gout patients eat fish

I have gout for many years. Today my wife made fish head soup. Can I eat fish?

    Gout patients cannot eat fish. Fish, shrimp, and shellfish contain high purine substances. Therefore, patients with gout should fast sardines, anchovies, shrimps, roe, shellfish, crab yellow, etc., to avoid acute attacks of gout.
