Female  39 years old 2018-06-08
Because of diabetes, I seldom eat sweets. My friend told me that eating watermelon is fine, so I eat a lot. Is it good for my health?

Watermelon contains about 5% sugar, which means that blood sugar will increase after eating watermelon. Normal people will secrete insulin in time to maintain blood sugar and urine sugar at normal levels, while diabetic people are different, in a short time Eating too much watermelon will not only raise blood sugar, but also cause severe acidosis due to metabolic disorders, and even life-threatening.
