What's the impact of pulling out my ears often?

Male  21 years old 2018-06-07
Sometimes the ears are itchy and there is also earwax inside. I will pick my ears out. Will it affect my ears often?

Earwax, a sticky substance, is composed of lubricating secretions, shed skin cells, dirt, and dust. Most earwax can be cleaned out by itself. Every movement of the lower jaw (whether talking or chewing) can push the earwax out of the ear canal without the need for a cotton swab. In fact, trying to clean the earwax is more harmful than good, and it is likely that the earwax will be pushed further into the ear canal instead of being cleared. So people don't care about earwax unless it affects your hearing.
