Body mass index (BMI) = body weight (kg) รท height (m)2, is a standard commonly used in the world to measure the degree of body fat and thin and whether it is healthy. Usually those with a BMI index of more than 40, compared with the "healthy population" with an index of 22.5-25, tend to live shorter than a decade. A BMI index lower than 18.5 is thin, which increases the risk of menstrual disorders, fertility problems, anemia, and osteoporosis caused by bone loss. The BMI index of healthy body weight is 18.5-24.9, BMI is overweight between 25-28, and over 28 is obesity.
