Sometimes I have to drink alcohol in order to socialize, but I also find that I am older than my peers. Does alcoholism accelerate aging?

Alcoholism does accelerate the aging of people. Moderate drinking is good for heart health, but excessive drinking will shorten life. The mortality rate of alcoholic women is 4.6 times higher than that of normal people, and the probability of early death of alcoholic men is twice that of normal people. The American Heart Association recommends daily drinking: no more than 110 grams of white wine and no more than 340 grams of beer.
