I have carpal tunnel syndrome and found that several of my female colleagues also have it. Is carpal tunnel syndrome more common in women?

It is understood that carpal tunnel syndrome occurs at 30-50 years of age, and women are five times as many as men. The incidence of both hands accounted for about 1/3-1/2 of the total number of patients, while the ratio of female bilateral incidence to male increased to 9:1.
