Suffering from purulent discharge at the urethra should be suspected of infection with gonorrhea. STDs usually directly damage reproductive organs. The most common gonorrhea and non-gonococcal urethritis are inflammations of the urogenital system, causing urethral pain and burning sensation when urinating. There are thin or thick purulent secretions at the urethra. When gonorrhea causes inflammation of the female reproductive system, there are purulent leucorrhea, low back pain, and lower abdominal pain.
