Can I drink carbonated drinks to lose weight?

My friend told me that drinking carbonated beverages can reduce weight. Now I drink a glass before going to work every morning. Does it really have a weight loss effect?

    Drinking carbonated beverages can not lose weight, but also has the side effects of gaining weight. Carbonated beverages contain more added sugar (>10g/100g), but do not contain dietary fiber, which is not conducive to weight control and blood lipids.
