Can you eat calcium?

I found that I also seemed to have a little calcium deficiency, because my legs would always be sore. Can I take calcium from kelp?

Although the calcium content in kelp is relatively high, the effect of calcium supplementation is not very good. The rich alginate in kelp is a soluble dietary fiber that will carry some calcium, iron and other minerals out of the body. However, kelp can neutralize the acidic components in food, and it is indeed better for human nutrition.
