Human nutrients are of course important. People will get sick once they lack nutrients. According to the heat-generating ratio of the three calorie nutrients in the adult diet recommended by the Chinese Nutrition Society, the heat energy of the three major nutrients can be calculated separately. Protein generally accounts for 12% to 15%, fat accounts for 20% to 30%, and carbohydrate accounts for 55% to 65%.
