I bought a lot of ginger at home, and some of it was rotten. Can I still eat it?

Rotten ginger cannot be eaten. After the ginger is rotten, it will produce a highly toxic organic substance-safrole, which can degenerate liver cells and induce liver cancer and esophageal cancer. If you use rotten ginger in cooking, even though the amount is very small, it is toxic to liver cells, especially for patients with hepatitis, it should be avoided.
