What is the amount of salt in a low-salt diet?

Female  35 years old 2018-05-01
My blood pressure is 145/95. I need to take medication to control it. I heard that people with high blood pressure also need a low-salt diet.

Both high blood pressure patients and healthy people should eat a low-salt diet. Normal people's salt intake should be less than 6g/day. For those with mild hypertension or a family history of hypertension, the daily supply of 3 to 5g of salt is appropriate, and those with moderate to severe hypertension should take less.
