Juvenile vertebral osteochondrosis kyphosis is the main symptom, with spinal rigidity. The neck often flexes, the shoulders sag, the chest is narrow and flat, and the shoulder blades protrude. Thoracic stenosis and flatness are common in spinal tuberculosis. Humpback deformity progresses progressively after 20 years of age.
