BY Penelope Judson 2020-05-10Pears contain particularly high amounts of sugar, so people with diabetes should eat them with caution. Patients with chronic enteritis and stomach colds should avoid raw pears. Patients with blood deficiency, chills, diarrhea, and cold hands and feet should not eat more pears. Thin stool due to spleen and stomach deficiency and cold and cough and phlegm caused by external cold are contraindicated. Pears should not be eaten with crabs to prevent diarrhea.4
