Which is better, radiotherapy alone and radiofrequency ablation

Male  38 years old 2020-05-10
During this time, I was not able to adapt and was found to have cancer. The doctor said there are two treatment methods, radiotherapy alone and radiofrequency ablation. Is radiofrequency ablation effective for early small tumors?

In a study comparing radiotherapy alone with radiotherapy combined with radiofrequency ablation needles in the treatment of 24 inoperable stage I non-small cell lung cancer: the cumulative survival rates at 2 and 5 years were 50% and 39%. The researchers believe that when tumors are radiotherapy, oxygen is indispensable in the destruction of DNA by radiation and killing tumor cells. Therefore, radiotherapy is very effective for oxygen-enriched cells at the edge of the tumor, but radiotherapy is more effective for hypoxic cells in the central area of the tumor. Poor, this part of the tumor cells can be killed by heating (radiofrequency ablation), so the two have a complementary effect, RFA combined with radiotherapy can increase the therapeutic effect.
