Can't you eat fruits and vegetables during confinement?

Male  30 years old 2018-04-12
I have just given birth to a child for less than two days, but my mother-in-law said that she cannot eat fruits and vegetables during confinement. Is there a scientific basis?

Postpartum mothers generally have loose abdominal muscles, coupled with long bed time and reduced exercise, resulting in slower bowel movements and easier constipation than the average person. If you do not eat vegetables and fruits, it will not only cause constipation and hemorrhoids, but also lack certain micronutrients, which will affect the nutrition of milk. The baby's nutrition will be uneven, which will affect the baby's growth and development.
